The Obot Spacegirl is a figure that we bought from the Culture Cartel in Singapore last December. It really caught our eye because it looks so unique! The Obot is a designer art toy from Gagatree, a designer art toy company from Singapore. We even met the artist of the Obot, Yang, and she told us all about her creation. The Obot is a vintage-looking robot with minimal articulation. Her arms can move up and down. It comes with a key that you can insert at it’s side, making it look like a wind-up toy. The belly of the Obot has a hole where you can find a smaller toy that you can remove. The hole in it’s belly looks like a control booth and the small toy is the one controlling the Obot. In the Spacegirl, the smaller toy is a cute penguin, dressed like an astronaut. We really love this figure and we even got a bonus from the artist herself! Check out our video below to find out what it is.
