We had a blast attending FunCon last Aug 2-4 at the Glorietta Activity Center. We’ve been eagerly waiting for this event since two of our favorite local retailers both launched new Funko Pops at this event. Big Boys Toy Store released the Metallic Darna, while Hobbiestock released the Jollibee in Barong, Glow in the Dark variant. Both Pops require a pass that you have to acquire prior to the FunCon. The stormy weather didn’t stop us and other collectors from flocking to the event. Overall, it was a fun event and congrats to the organizers for a successful event! There was even a larger-than-life Darna Funko Pop box where you can take pictures in as well as a Darna cosplayer. The Jollibee in Barong looks exactly the same as the regular one that released during our Independence Day (June 12). You won’t even be able to tell if it’s glow in the dark or not. This is the very first Darna Pop to be released. It shows Darna in an action pose and in her usual red and gold bikini and helmet.
